What is a magnetic door catch?
A magnetic door catch holds a door closed securely using a strong magnet in the door frame and in the door itself. They are ideal for internal doors that don’t need to lock.

These magnetic systems allow designers to create a secret door or concealed door because there is no need for a handle to hold the door in place. They are therefore often used with walk-in closets or storerooms.

A magnetic door catch is similar to a magnetic lock but it ‘catches’ the door and holds it closed without locking it. This type of magnetic door closing system allows the door to close silently and there are no moving parts to wear out.
