M&T Magnetic praised for ‘clean and unhindered’ design

The Good Design Awards Jury praised Two Tease M&T Magnetic, commenting:

“Clearly an elegant design solution. Sophisticated, clean and unhindered design that looks comfortable to the touch and satisfying to use. A great example of good, solid industrial design.”

About Two Tease M&T Magnetic

M&T Magnetics is a revolutionary magnetic system that enables doors to open easily and close perfectly. Strong magnets in the door and frame allow for perfectly smooth and noiseless closing, holding the door closed without the need for a lock. Intended primarily for internal doors, the range also includes mini locks that can be added where extra privacy is needed. M&T Magnetic is designed by Roman Ulich for M&T and distributed in Australia & New Zealand by Two Tease Architectural Hardware.

Australia’s oldest and most prestigious design awards

The annual Good Design Awards are Australia’s oldest and most prestigious international Awards for design and innovation with a proud history dating back to 1958. The Awards celebrate the best new products and services on the Australian market for excellence in architectural design, engineering, fashion, digital and communication design, design strategy, social impact design and young designers.

More than 55 Good Design Awards Jurors evaluated each entry according to a strict set of design criteria which covers ‘good design’, ‘design innovation’ and ‘design impact’. Projects recognised with a Good Design Award must demonstrate excellence in good design and convince the Jury they are worthy of recognition at this level.

Dr. Brandon Gien, CEO of Good Design Australia said:

“Receiving a Good Design Award is a significant achievement given the very
high calibre and record number of entries received in 2020.”
